The SIM800L is a compact quad-band GSM/GPRS module that adds cellular connectivity to your projects — send and receive SMS, make and receive calls, and connect to the internet over GPRS. It communicates over a simple TTL serial (UART) interface using standard AT commands, making it easy to control from an Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi or any microcontroller.

Important Power Note
The SIM800L needs a stable supply capable of delivering up to ~2A peak current at 3.4–4.4V. Do not power it from the Arduino 5V pin — use a Li-ion cell or a dedicated buck converter set to ~4.0V for reliable operation.
